Hand made in India this fabulous brooch depicts a pink Flamingo. 

The name "flamingo"comes from the Spanish word 'flamenco’ or flame; the pink or orange colour of the birds is understood to be pigments from their diet of shrimp, algae and crustaceans. Often found standing on one leg to conserve body heat, flamingos spend most of their time cleaning their feathers with a special oil that is spread with the help of their beaks These beautiful birds are a sight to behold in flight and a symbol of fun and relaxation.

Inspired by nature,  these brooches are exquisitely hand embroidered using artisanal skills and illustrative vintage appeal. The choice of materials and colours is mindfully selected creating organic textures that reveal a lifelike precious quality.

Slight variation in embroidery, size, shape and color is part of the handmade craft and may be apparent between pieces; this is not considered a defect but is celebrated as a mark of made by hand.
