Hand made in India this fabulous brooch depicts a Red Poppy flower.
The Red Poppy has long been a part of Remembrance Day ritual. During the First World War, red poppies were among the first plants to spring up in the devastated battlefields and have since symbolised the sacrifice of shed blood.
Our collection of eclectic brooches from Trovelore are hand embellished with intricate beads, threads and sequins to give a life-like quality and surface finish.
Inspired by nature, these brooches are exquisitely hand embroidered using artisanal skills and illustrative vintage appeal. The choice of materials and colours is mindfully selected creating organic textures that reveal a lifelike precious quality.
Slight variation in embroidery, size, shape and color is part of the handmade craft and may be apparent between pieces; this is not considered a defect but is celebrated as a mark of made by hand.
